This could also just be with the ezcap172 using OBS Studio and not using their ArcSoft Software. Tearing for this device was definitely visible. I did see some quality discrepancies that I wasn’t too impressed with. I was able to record it through OBS Studio without any hiccups.

Plugging it in was no issues the driver was able to be seen It worked horribly for a previous review and now all of a sudden it decided to work perfectly. Next on the list was the ezcap 172 and this one I don’t get.

VLC is probably the only relativily decent thing Linux has for recording from e.g. h/x264 mp4/mkv video with the usually well-corresponding aac-audio codec means havoc in VLC. Try the regular mpeg audio codec with any video format whenst recording-converting with VLC.
